A Personal development plan is the creation of an action plan based on awareness, values, reflection, goal-setting and planning for personal development within the context of a career, education, relationship or for self-improvement. These are the 7 steps to making a Personal Development plan:
Every PDP is different and you can make it your own anyway you like. My PDP is broken down into STOP, START and CONTINUE. STOP is identifying things I want to change. START is CONTINUE the creating a structured and measured smart action plan with dates in place.
1) Set yourself goals. 2) Prioritise those goals. 3) Set yourself deadlines for when you want to achieve them. 4) Recognise threats and opportunities. 5) Develop your skills or increase your knowledge. 6) Use your support network. 7) Measure your progress.
